A Lashio local, (Ko) Myo Lwin is the smiling, super-patient, and dedicated driving force behind all the hard work that our Day Class students put into their local community projects.
With project experience in HIV education and prevention programmes in Shan State (Myanmar), Myo Lwin has worked with local government agencies and UN health agencies for many years.
Having joined DevelopEd as a valued staff member in May 2015, since then, Myo Lwin has helped us to deliver a number of successful student projects. These have included community development projects such as a flood victims’ emergency relief donation drive, a collection of local recipes from a variety of ethnic groups, a Meitan village environmental clean-up and awareness campaign, a rural youth computing course…and counting! He is currently working with our students on projects to install permanent rubbish bins in Lashio, a women’s empowerment workshop, and the Myanmar Drug Awareness Summit.
Did we mention that Myo Lwin’s also an AMAZING cook? Worst kept secret in Lashio that Myo Lwin cooks the most delicious curries. Shhhhhhhh…you didn’t hear it from us.
